How to apply to become an election judge.

Election Judge Qualifications

Those interested in working at the polls as an election judge for Franklin County, must meet the following qualifications:

 

  1. You must be a registered voter in Franklin County.

  2. You must state your political party in order to serve as an election judge.

  3. You cannot serve as an election judge if the name of a relative within the 2nd degree is on the ballot and they have opposition.  This would apply for that specific election only.

  4. You cannot hold a public office, except committee-person, while working as an election judge.

  5. You must be of good repute and character and work well with others and with the public.

  6. You must be able to work from 5:15 a.m. until after the polls close at 7:00 p.m. on election days.

  7. You must be willing and able to accept payment via direct deposit.
